Terms of Service
These are the terms you buy under. They cover who we are, what an eSIM data plan from this site actually is, what we promise, and what we deliberately do not.
Who you are buying from
Fivebars is a storefront operated by SIA "Ragnarok Solutions", a company registered in Latvia (registration number 50203000401), VAT number LV50203000401. Registered address: Lejasdores iela 10, Alderi, Ādažu pag., Ādažu nov., LV-2164 Latvia.
“Fivebars” is the name of the shop. SIA "Ragnarok Solutions" is the company you are contracting with, and it is the name that appears on your invoice. On your card statement you will see FIVEBARS.MOBILE. Three names for one purchase is one more than anybody wants, so we would rather you met all three here than on a statement you don’t recognise.
The company’s registered contact details are info@ragnarok.solutions and +371 22053438. For anything about an order, use our support page instead — that one reaches the person who can actually look up your eSIM. We reply within 1–2 business days.
What you are buying
A prepaid mobile data package for a specific destination, delivered as an eSIM profile: a QR code and a one-tap install link, sent to the email address you give at checkout. There is nothing physical and nothing arrives in the post.
These plans carry data only. They do not give you a phone number, and they cannot place ordinary calls or send SMS. Your own number stays on your normal SIM, and most phones hold both at once.
We do not operate a mobile network, and neither does anybody else selling travel eSIMs at this price. We buy capacity from network partners and resell it to you; the bars on your phone belong to a local operator in the country you are visiting. We would rather you read that in the terms than work it out from a support reply.
When the plan starts
Your plan’s validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a network in the destination — not when you pay, and not when you install it. Buying in March for a June trip costs you nothing: until the eSIM joins a network there, nothing is ticking.
This is the only start rule we sell. Our supplier’s catalogue also contains plans that start counting at installation; those behave differently enough that the same sentence would mislead, so they are not published on this site.
You also get a window to install the eSIM, and that one is the only clock that starts when you pay. Its length belongs to the package you bought — it is on the product page before you pay and on your order page afterwards. If it runs out before you install, the package expires unused.
Until the profile is installed, that whole window is refundable — see our refund policy.
Your device
An eSIM only works on a phone built to take one, and on a phone that isn’t carrier-locked. We put a free device checker in front of the payment page for exactly this reason: it takes seconds, it needs no account, and it answers the question before your money moves.
Checking is your part of this. We can tell you what we know about a model; we cannot see your phone, and we cannot see whether your operator has locked it. If you skip the checker and buy an eSIM your phone can’t take, you are still covered — as long as you haven’t installed it, you get your money back under our refund policy. What we can’t do is undo an installation.
Most “it installed but there’s no signal” reports are one setting: data roaming off, or the wrong line chosen for data. Our install guides cover the four device families in full, on one page, without a login.
What we promise, and what we can’t
We promise the package we sold you: the destination, the allowance, the validity rule and the networks listed on the product page, delivered to your inbox. If any of that turns out not to be true, that is a fault and it is ours — our refund policy explains what happens then, and installing the eSIM takes none of those rights away from you.
We cannot promise coverage or speed at a particular address, on a particular day. That is the local operator’s network, built and run by them, and no reseller who tells you otherwise is telling you the truth. Signal in a basement, congestion at a festival, a partner network having a bad afternoon — these are not things we can fix and not things we will pretend to control.
Where a plan has a daily allowance, we say so on the product page, and we say what happens when you pass it. We never describe a plan as unlimited, because in this category that word has meant a daily cap with a speed cut for years.
Ordering, and who we can sell to
You do not need an account to buy. You give an email address, you pay, and the eSIM comes back to that address with a link that reopens your order later. There is no password on this site.
Your order becomes a contract when we accept your payment and confirm the order by email. Until then, an item in front of you is an offer to sell, not a sale.
We sell to people, for their own use. If you are buying to resell, that is a different relationship with different terms; write to us rather than checking a box.
We currently cannot sell to buyers in the United Kingdom or the Isle of Man. This is a tax registration we do not have yet, not a judgement about anybody: a non-UK seller owes UK VAT from its very first sale there, and we would rather refuse the sale than take money we cannot account for correctly. The check runs at the moment your card is identified, before any money moves — no charge, no authorisation, no hold.
This is about where the buyer is, never about where you are going. eSIMs for the United Kingdom stay on sale to everyone else, and they are not going anywhere.
If you are outside the EU, you buy at the same price as everyone else. Your invoice states that the sale falls outside EU VAT rather than showing a zero rate, because those are different facts. What your own country does about imported digital services is between you and it; we do not collect anything on its behalf.
We may decline or cancel an order where a payment looks fraudulent or where fulfilling it would breach sanctions or the law. If we cancel one you paid for, you get the full amount back — we do not keep money against an order we refused.
Price, tax and payment
Prices on this site are the amount you pay. Latvian VAT at 21% is already inside them: the price on the plan page is the price at checkout, the price on your card and the price on your invoice. There is no tax added at the last step, and no surprise on the summary page.
Currency, what your bank shows you, when the money actually leaves and what happens if a payment is declined are all on how payment works.
Every order gets an invoice by email, and every refund gets a credit note that references the original invoice. We never rewrite or delete an invoice we have issued.
Refunds, and your right to change your mind
EU consumer law gives you 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without a reason. Digital products delivered immediately are an exception to that, which is why checkout asks you for a separate, explicit confirmation: you request delivery now, and you acknowledge that the 14-day right ends once the eSIM profile is installed on a device. That confirmation is stored with your order, in the exact words you were shown, along with the date you gave it.
Our own promise is wider than the law requires, and it is the reason the checkbox costs you less than it looks: you can cancel for a full refund at any time before the profile is installed — however long ago you bought it. The detail, including what happens when an eSIM doesn’t work, is on our refund policy.
Nothing on this page or that one takes away your right to a product that works. That is a separate right with its own two-year window, and installing the eSIM does not spend it.
Where our responsibility ends
Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under Latvian or EU law. Where a sentence below and the law disagree, the law wins, and we would rather say that at the top than have you find out by arguing.
What we are responsible for is the order you placed with us. If something goes wrong with an eSIM, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order — a replacement, a partial refund or your money back in full.
We are not responsible for what a missing connection cost you elsewhere: a missed booking, a rebooked flight, roaming charges on your home SIM, a hotel Wi-Fi bill. We know that is the expensive part of a trip going wrong, and we are telling you plainly that a small data package does not insure it.
And the ordinary things that are yours: keeping your phone charged, keeping the email we sent you, not deleting the eSIM profile from your phone mid-trip. A deleted profile may not be reinstallable — ask us before you delete anything, because that one is often not reversible.
If we change these terms
We date this page every time we change it, and a change applies only to orders placed after that date — never to an order already placed. Rewriting the rules of a purchase after the purchase is not something we are willing to do to you.
Which law applies, and what to do if we disagree
These terms are governed by Latvian law, because that is where the company is. If you live elsewhere in the EU, that does not cost you the consumer protections of your own country — those apply to you wherever we are registered.
If something goes wrong, write to us first. We reply within 1–2 business days. Most of it gets settled there, and it is faster than every alternative below.
If we can’t settle it, you can take the matter to the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC), the authority that supervises consumer sales in Latvia.
